Ballad of a Geek facing Exams

 Well, I'm not quite sure if this is a lyrical ballad or just some random near-rhyming-and-badly-formed verse that i've concocted randomly while procrastinating, eitherway: here goes!



One fine morning I awoke, and my head filled with notions
Of my return to WoW, where I guzzle down potions

Of a new summer job, a farewell to homeworks
And finally my goodbye to each of the school-jerks

I went off to school, content in my thought
But on my arrival, the truth became taught (Yeah that's not a word. Bite me.)

"Next week is exams" Saith the teach in homeroom
And from this point on, I could count on my doom.


I don't wanna just be sittin' here
Studyin' the things I cant retain
I don't wanna leave Azeroth
Exams aint nothin but a pain.


First period is Tech, where instead of a test
The teacher has given us a doosy of a quest

"For your final exam, a website must brew"
But instead of a month, in just a week it is due"

I scramble and I march, then I get things prepared
And I continue my work as if this teach ever cared.

"Someday I'll be back!" I often exclaim in my head
"And then I'll show you, that my art is not dead!"

Next up I have law, and the many details thereof
As well as my teacher who's frankly a bit of a dove

"I'll help you all out!" She so oft gladly proclaims.
"Here's a straightforward note, no more to explain!"

But it seems as if the only one person who misses the note,
Is the same who writes the exam! The same old goat!

And so I'm but forced just to study on my own
Which sadly means that most of this works comin home.

Then after that, there's not a chance I am done!
Last but not least I have calculus! what fun!

My teacher, while quoting batman and debating in-fin-ity
Seems capable of making me talk to the trin-ni-ty!

"My God", I will so often pray in my head.
"Lend me strength today 'fore my brain ends up dead!"

Then after the bell has mercifully carried his will
I'm shipped off to home where I have homework still!
